If you’re on this site, it is either by accident–sorry–or on purpose, because you’re wanting to know how Linda is doing.
All of the phone calls, texts, and kind visits over the past few weeks have meant a lot to Linda and Mark. The coming days will potentially be challenging, so if possible, please visit this site for updates, allowing Linda and Mark to focus on recovering and the next steps. Check back often and we’ll keep you “in the loop.”
Also, feel free to leave any comments at the bottom of this page. Linda will see them all! 🙂
Update #1 23 September 2025
Tomorrow, Linda is scheduled for surgery at 11:30 a.m. At the first of September, an extensive MRI convinced a doctor to give a diagnosis of cancer. A week later, a biopsy was done near the scapula and the results came back as “negative” for cancer. This was confusing to say the least, but we have been praying for miracles. More doctors were consulted as well as some local wizards in the Blackfoot area, and they were still convinced Linda has cancer.
So, the purpose of tomorrow’s surgery is to first: obtain another biopsy. The specimen will be examined right at the hospital. If this biopsy again comes up “negative,” we will be very grateful, as we have all been praying and fasting for a miracle. If, however, the biopsy is positive, the surgeon will then remove the tumor and, unfortunately, Linda’s scapula as well.
If Linda is found to have no cancer, she will return home in 24 hours. If it IS cancer and her scapula is removed, she will be in the hospital three days.
Good luck, Linda!
